evry other board i post on if you chose an author, it only gives you p[osts from that author, here you gert all sorst of shit.

aha, okay, i really do need to write a guide. it's basically just misunderstandings. i'll get on that soon.

i started writing a new search function yesterday taht would hopefully work better, but everytime you perform a search it brings the boards to a crawl so that would never work.

well it seems with the current search like if you ask for author search is just arranges them by author and i have to look for it.

i think this is along the lines of grouping functions, but it would be cool to create an (orkut/tribes) social network sort of thing. so i would be connected to checkii and bbatsell and whoever else, and it could let you track posting histories, and group users by what topics/forums they post under the most, and connect similar themes across threads.

i'm sure this makes no sense, and would be a pain to implement, but it would be cool.

Maybe make it so you can go to a specific page of a thread... say one is 20 pages long and you want to get to page 10, you have to start at 3 and then load every page until you get to 10. Also, it'd be nice if when you searched for something by a certain author, when you clicked the link, it went straight to that author's post, istead of the first page of the thread.
