guitar building kits?

Unread post by helixbaseballstud » Mon Feb 14, 2005 5:08 pm

I did a search but wasn't able to find out what I was looking for..if I overlooked the correct thread just point me in that direction please, i'm not trying to create a re-post thread.

My question is, I know some of you guys have gotten into building your own guitars. This endeavor is intriguing to me so I was wondering what the best kits are. Or where you can get them. Just some further info on getting this project a-rollin'.

Thanks for your time,

Ben

martin has some decent kits, so does stew mac, but stew mac you have to buy more parts, and is a little more expensive.

you mean paul languadoc's guitars :) the man is a genious if you ask me. have fun with that project though, i cant imagine how he gets that hollowbody sound with that body, gonna be mission impossible to replicate such a work of art but im sure you're gonna get a unique sound in the end...

yeah i mean is it les pauls guitar, or is it yours?
just yeah pual made it, but if i say " its a replica of paul languadoc's custom guitar" no one will know what im saying, if i say " its a replica of trey anastasio's guitar" they know.
