This is how I've been playing it but I was wondering if people are using there Ring finger on the slide /10 to also mute by lightly touching the rest of the strings with that same finger. or are you making the chord shape and using those fingers and then quickly getting back to the 3/5/7 in time.
I'm new to Dave and his style so I'm trying to figure it out but any info would be nice. He's probably just able to switch from chord to stretched out chord really quickly.

Re: so much to say (Dave Muting Question)
Use your main finger to slide to 8 (not 10) then form the chord 10-x-7-10 quickly and easily, because your fingers whould be in the right place. Also, when you do the bass strings sliding, you don't mute, you don't touch anything but the bass string. When you play the chord, just play the fretted ones, leave the B and high E string out of it. On stretching your fingers quickly to another area, that's all physical excersize that you have to get your fingers used to. A good one to practice on for the stretching of the fingers in those stretches would be Satellite.EraticDisposal wrote:Hea.
