i think it sounds good, whenever i listen to album crush i feel like im in a small lil club and theres this tight band in the corner grooving to some jazzy beats. i also think rapunzel sounds alot better with tim, the first time i heard the LS rapunzel i thought i sounded a lil empty wihtout his fills, just my opinion thoughGSRLessard14 wrote:i like tictacs wrote:Meh, I disagree...I don't like alot of his fills on some things, like Crush. yeah, if it wasnt for the LLC cds, i wouldnt be so into DMB.GuitarGuy305 wrote:I'm all about guests. I hope Tim is on it, though I'm doubting it. I think the "Purists" that don't like Tim with DMB are funny. For me, Tim makes a sometimes rather bland DMB more interesting.
Tim is actually the reason I started listening to DMB again, after I stopped for about 2 years.

You're kidding yourself if you think Tim didn't have a heavy hand in writing a lot of the band's early (and best) stuff. Dave may have come up with the foundation, but Tim added the little stuff. Dave has admitted that Tim helped him tons with composition.
One example of tim's contributions off the top of my head: The intro to One Sweet World? Yeah, that was Tim.
I'd love to see him on the new album.

Or how about the pulloffs in crash? they give that part its essential and characteristic structure. Dave got his middle eastern influences for minarets and the last stop all from timmy.

Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead

I agree 100%. Dave looked up to Tim as a guitar Mentor/Teacher.mbgreen wrote:You're kidding yourself if you think Tim didn't have a heavy hand in writing a lot of the band's early (and best) stuff.
