Well considering you couldn't figure out cannonball by ear...doesn't say much about your 10 years experience. ;)

You're right. I can't tab by ear & always relied on tablature. The internet has made us lazy by making it so easy to find the music online. And I dont think the ability to decipher music has anything to do with playing it. If that was the case, then Dave would suck in your opinion because he relies on a electronic tuner to tune his guitar. (he's said it 100 times he cant tune a guitar) Does it make him less of a player? Apparently, to you it does.

But, if you can tell me what I did wrong in this thread, let me know & I will leave this forum.

BTW, the first post I wrote him was a response to how he critiqued Borocks.

I have never met any REAL Phish fans that were dicks.
This guy(YEM) is a poseur. I dont even think he knew what Phish IT was. Thats like not knowing what DMB Central Park is. Anyway, Yes he is a dick to me for no reason, so I must be one back. Actually he's not worth my time anymore. So have fun being a dick.

I thought he was harsh on you. He said "Your Chorist (whatever that is) Sucks & something else. But, he was complaining about how we critique him, but he critques your song even worse.

What if I said to you "Your guitar playing sucks"

Wouldn't you want to know why it sucks?

DmbFanJason wrote:Everyone needs to calm the Fiznuck down my brothas! the cover was good. Guitar was good. Singing was good. It does need to be chilled out a little bit though. But that could be handled in less than a day. Nothing to worry about.

Anyway, I find it funny how people "critique" on these boards. I have found that 1 for 1 of the people who just criticize(and not actually try to help the guy), are less than decent players/singers themselves. It's almost amusing sometimes to see some of the advice others give, especially w/ singing. All this "breathing" advice. Do you guys REALLY know what you're talking about when you say these things? Good advice would be to go to a teacher, someone w/ much experience and can sing themselves. And then just fuckin practice your heart out.

That's what gets you good...Doing something over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. And then do it some more.

You follow? :D
NO, that guys needs to calm down. Please don't tell us how critique other musicians. And doing something over & over & over & over again doesn't make you good if you are doing it badly over & over & over again. It just makes you consistently bad. We are tryign to give him some pointer on his voice. The main theme was soften up your voice a bit, perhaps soften the guitar as well. IM sorry my critique isn't up to your standards.
Guy...that's why I said for the person to go to a teacher, someone w/ experience and can sing themself. THEN practice your heart out.

Some advice can only get a little ways...It's YOU doing it over and over and over again that gets you good at it. You are the one responsible for most of your progression or improvement in anything in life.

Think what you want...
This #41 cover was... guitar wasn't tuned, chorist just didn't help... & that's what I told this guy... that's it...
When you're making a cover band... what's the official goal?
I thought it was to sound like this band, and it's not with a "blink182" voice that you'll be able to reproduce Dave's... that's it.
Maybe I can't pronounce this english language and maybe I sing like someone who has a banana in its ass, but I really think my cover band is more accurate than this other garage "blink182" cover band...
And who cares about you all critique makers... I'm a music maker, I can tab everything I hear even Stream, I can even tab your critiques if you want me to do so... the tab would be sooooooooooooo repeating and it would look like a Em9, you know, this chord that sounds like you all... depressed and little part of "Gay" about being unable to play guitar, sing and critique. I love the way you made this thread so interesting and I hope this will continue... Vote Bush... petrol is da future.
Hoping he'll come in Quebec soon, to take our water ;)
Yeah, yeah, blah blah blah... "this guy can't take critique" I just can't sleep, please, stop... Man I'm so unhappy... I can't live with it. :(

Frenchies suck?
For sure.
Critiquin' sucks here?
A lot.
Writtin' the longest reply on this topic sucks
YEAH :)
2 little gays replying on this topic must suck too, power is what you're searching? Can't you give him your e-mail address? Is it important to chat on a forum? You had fun replying to this guy? Maybe you should date him? Do you know http://www.lavalife.com? Homo seaking homo, I'll create an account for you.
See ya, gotta masturbate my fingerboard, just too bad that I can't cum a song in this reply. You adviced me to stop posting :) I need to listen, and take critique... man my mom is telling me : "You should forgive them, they didn't know what they said... I know they hurted you so much, please James... remember the child you were before this topic!"
I don't know what to do, Need help.
