yeah, I know. this thread'll be moved to general DMBc, I suppose. It started out good, than flaming began and then nonsense prevailed. I think Dave, though, is into writing nice tight concise songs these days, and I have no problem with that. Well YNK isn't exactly like that, but WAYG, Gravedigger, Loving Wings, The Everyday Album. I don't know if we're gonna see a Tripping Billies or a Recently or BOWA, LIOG anytime soon. But I think we'll see more Bartender type things. Which is Great.

we'll see, go visit the other forums, I made havoc

oh, in regards to the topic...there's an interesting thread at the bridge about how while dave's guitar playing has gotten better, his writing has gotten worse. I wouldn't be one to argue. I think he is getting less creative with the guitar lately. even YNK...there's nothing that weird about it chord wise...it's kinda got some whacked out timing, but that could have a lot to do with carter too...

yeah, YNK isn't very complex at all. timing is different in parts, but yeah, he's gotten more mature in his guitar writing, to put it in a nice way. Satellite, The Stone, Recently, even Ants are very creative and unique. its been awhile since he's come out with one like that. not that there's anything wrong with that, because he's passed his prime and most write their best songs in their mid 20's to early 30's right?
