So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

hey guys.. i'm making progress on Jimi Thing, but keep getting hung up on the chorus
I just helped a friend with the intro so i'll post it here incase others need help
here's my version of the intro that sounds good:
Code: Select all
E:----------------------------------------------------x-------
B:------------------------x---9-----9--9-----------2--x-------
G:------------9-----9--x--x---9-----9--9-----------2--x--6h7--
D:------------9-----9--x--x---9h11--9--9--------O--2--x--7----
A:------7-----9h11--9--x--x---O------------11\--------x-------
E:-7h9-----9--O-----O--x------------------------------x-------
d u d d u # % d u d d d d $
* @@@@
* - fret both 7's with index
@ - move index finger down and slide
# - mute with fingers 234, down stroke this mute
% - sound of you moving your index finger down a string
$ - this muted stroke sounds good.. puts a nice rhythm to it. listen to CP version and you'll see
mp3 1
mp3 2
and here's what i need help on:
Code: Select all
E:-------------------
B:-------------------
G:-2-----------------
D:-2----------4---4--
A:------------x---2--
E:-----3---2--x---0--
1 2 1 4
I recently recorded the song all the way through.. its really choppy, and i definately struggle on the chorus
here's my recent recording of the whole song
can someone help me out on this? maybe a slooooow recording and more detailed tab perhaps?

thanks guys

lemme record a clip really quick. it'll be mono, and not my normal quality, but it'll do.

the 2 and 4 of the f# chord are played separately.
