easiest dave song to play??

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

am i the only one that had problems with crush at first? I don't know what it was, i couldn't play that song for shit, didn't try it again forever, then picked up my guitar one day and started playing it.

PS, if i can't play a song the 3rd time i try playing it i get frustrated and quit.
I think each person's difficulties are unique to that individual. Some people struggle at some songs and others struggle at different ones. I still have trouble with Billies verse, and certain parts of Say Goodbye but thought The Stone was one of the easiest songs for me to learn.

I have the biggest problems just finding the rhythym he is strumming. I don't have much else of problems with his songs.

I agree. His chords are necessarilty difficult and he doesn't do solos. But he does have some funky ass rhythyms that can be difficult to pick up on. Syncopated rhythyms can be difficult for a lot of people, but especially do it yourselfers that don't count out music or read sheet music like myself.

is there a way I can get better at identifying rhythyms? I will say, after over 2 months in Europe with just my ipod I started focussing more ont he music I was listening to rather than just listening once and trying to play it, and when I ot back I was a lot better.
any other ideas?
