Memorex DVD-Rs

Unread post by Morphius » Fri Feb 04, 2005 3:27 pm

What do you guys think about Memorex DVD-Rs? I read one site that never mentioned them, so I assumed they were ok, and now I've just read another that says to stay away from them. I've already bought a spindle and sent out 2 for a B&P. Anyone have any advice as to what I should do?

DVD-r's tend to be specific to which burner you have.
I have a Toshiba laptop & rarely had any problems with disks. I have bought the cheapest (compUSA) to the most expensive & they both worked fine.

However, I found with the compUSA disks I would get 2/3 out of 25 that wouldn't burn.

I do not have a DVD Burner myself. I use my school's burner (after class, they don't mind) and I never have any problems. I've had great sucess with Memorex CDs, and I understand the DVDs and CDs are completely different, but one would assume that they would have roughly the same quality.

I'm just hoping that my B&P goes through smoothly.

I bought a 50 pack about a month and 1/2 ago because i needed dvds and they were on sale.

A lot of people advise not to use them. i've never had any problems with mine. I usually put an extra blank in just in case though- after this spindle I'm gonna switch back to TDK

I personally have not had any problems with burning them.
I don't use them myself, but I have received tons of them to burn in B&P's with no problems.
You're only as strong as the tables you dance on.
