no guitar should be worth more because it is his/her signature model...that is just crap...

just go with a regular 0M-28

unless some things are really different (Clapton's, Mayer's, Dave's...all sig guitars that don't vary much from standard design...) they shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred more. don't blame the artist though as martin is the one who sets the price on this stuff...

First of all Claptons guitar is amazing especially the brazilian one. Dave's guitar isn't like any other Martin his is completely original and beautiful. I'm thinking about buying the Mayer model as a buisness oppurtunity because I can get it for about 2900 at Guitar center. Look at Daves model came out you could get it for 2500 and now it cost about 3500. I dunno Mayers career is going nothing but up, and hes an exceptional guitar player.

eh. i'm not sure. it's hard to predict mayer's career. he has distinguished himself amongst the current singer/songwriter craze, but one of the best theories i've ever heard is that he should just play guitar and forget about the singing and the disposable lyrics. ;) it's those damn big hands. he was blessed.

yeah, he should definitely not sing. i would actually buy a cd of his that was just the guitar...

are his hands really that big? what is really neat is that dave does all those long ass stretches, but his hands aren't very big. my brother saw him third row one show and said that his fingers weren't long, he just stretched far as hell...

mayer's hands are extremely large. that's why he uses his thumb all the time, just cuz he can.

and dave, of course, is cool, because he's making use of what he has to the best of his abilities. i have small hands too, and it took me forever to get those stretches down, but it's worth it.
