i have the same electric guitar and when it breaks it going to the trash i bought it cause it was cheap and i don't play much electric SO... my advice to you is don't put to much in to it, use the cash for an upgrade... just my 2 cents!

lol. thats where you are wrong my friend. i play electric equal with acoustic.. and by electric.. i just mean jazz stuff and Phish-esque stuff with bluesey SRV... an electric is a necessity just like my acoustic. and i dont have enough money for a decent upgrade.. me and filmdude gots a plan :wink:

$150 dollars should make this guitar sound excellente.
(it already sounds pretty decent)
And as far as the ghost string...
my guess is i put it in wrong and never noticed. If theres something wrong, the guitar people that will help me with the pickup swap should be able to catch it.
