for those artists like keller and timmy do they use medium or heavy strings....cause i know one can't make such a heavy slapping with light strings.

Don't know.

I believe I read Tim uses medium strings.

Keller uses heavy strings, that's why on the 12 string you don't hear a lot of bending because it's so difficult to do so.

For a martin with standard bracing to sound the best, it really needs medium strings........I wouldnt doubt this is why tim uses med's on his D-35.

I know Dave uses ultra light strings. I wonder why the strings don't break morethan they do with his style of playing.

i wonder why he doesn't get os much buzzing especially with the way he plays....and they do break a lot...at a massachussets show this summer he broke 3 in one night.

he broke 5-6 in utah and they don't buzz cuz of his set up.
