Re: fingers are better than pics
I doubt that just because the one doesn't use a pick he's a 1000 times better. I bet if you gave him a pick he'd still be a 1000 times better. I don't think a pick makes that big of a differencefatjack wrote:i'll go either way, but pick usage is kinda of funny... i have two friends, one rarely ever uses a pick and one can not play without one.. guess which one is about a thousand times better? the pickless onefiredancer86 wrote:I find I only use a pic when I absolutely need to...especially on Dave songs...I hear guys like Gcom talking about it too...it is funny how I changed...curious what you guys thought...![]()
im glad i practiced both ways...

Hmm.. I'm not fingerpicking much lately because the strings really don't ring very much. I kinda get a dead sound.. do I need new strings? I haven't changed them since I got my guitar about 5 months ago.

Robby Krieger said his biggest regret when learning how to play guitar was learning how to play with his fingers instead of a pick

i can use a pick, but i'm more comfortable with my fingers. so, i've got the "fingerpick then grab the guitar pick from the knee to strum" thing down pretty good.
