Pop Filter

Unread post by Buck » Wed Jan 26, 2005 6:39 pm

Maybe this is common knowledge for musicians, but I found out you can make a kick ass pop filter by using one of those wooden "crochet or needlework????" circles and wrapping pantyhose over it. place in front of your mic, and it works great.

hmm i dont know what you mean by "wooden crochet or needlework" but that sounds like a great idea, and since im in the market for a mic right now, this may be something that I could use..

Mine came with a foam cover to go over the whole mic. It doesn't take any of the sound away, and keeps spit from damaging it. It costs 300 bucks, so I better not screw it up, lol.

It's just a round wooden circle that old ladies use to knit with or something like that.

Or you can just pull the pantyhose over your head and rob guitar center.
