I'm lazy, does anyone know if the band has played this song on an official live release?

DMB has never played it. Only Dave & Friends have. No D+F release, so no.

Edit: Although now that I think about it, I think that the Bonnaroo performance was released - let me check

Does anybody here think D&F butchered Solsbury hill? Or at least did a lousy job of doing it justice? That is just my personal opinion, but I have always prefered the soulful, acoustic and piano driven Peter Gabriel version to the goofy sounding electric laden D&F version. The bonaroo version sounds all techno and sped up like a sound track to an old video game.

I say that because there are many covers that D&F did that I like more than the original version (i.e. Tell Me Something Good, Hey Bulldog, Thank You).
Solsbury Hill is not one of them.

I think they did a good job with it. I still like Peter Gabriel's version a whole lot more. I've seen him in concert a couple of times. He puts on a good show.

Mostly. But there are some exceptions.

I love Bob Dylan's version of Watchtower, but I enjoy Dave's more. Both are great though.

Does Peter Gabriel still tour? I adore his music and would love to see him live.
