"Guitar Gear"

HEY!

I had an idea a while back and started on it and kinda let it die, but now that I have a little free time (at least before the dave concert next saturday... YIKES! my first one!) i might make it work.

Anywho, my idea was for a system that would list some of our "guitar gear" (guitars, amps, pedals, effects, compressors, mics, recording eqpmnt, etc.) and let us rate + review them. Then people could look up, say, a Line 6 DL4, see which members own one, read their ratings + reviews, have the ability to talk to those members about the things.

Would anyone at all be interested in this?

Xoosh and I had talked about this for a while but I ultimately decided against because it isn't specifically Dave Guitar related. By "decided against" I mean on incorporating it into dmbtabs.com. I would be more than willing to incorporate something like that into the message board though. Lemme know what everyone else thinks....peace

Yeah man I think something like that would be great! I never buy anything until I read a ton of reviews about the product! I am thinking that hearing from people on these boards would really be a great resource.

Like right now I am trying to figure out a good solution for recording my guitar on to my PC! There are just so many options to go with and it is hard sometimes to get good reviews or what not on products!

It would fully be a welcome addition to the message board. Give Pittman an IM or PM and maybe you guys can work on it. Don't know how mucht time you got Pittman but see if you can help out

sounds like an interesting idea...but people can always just post a question...that sparks ideas and more questions from others who might find the public talk insightful...

Yah, that's what I meant in case anyone took it the wrong way. But they weren't questioning that, they were questioning how I have seen some of pittman's code.
