dmb collection

Unread post by dmfollower » Mon Jan 17, 2005 1:59 am

Does anyone here(and i'm sure there is) that has or is working on collecting dave shows? If so, how do you guys store your shows? I have a few shows, about 700 and up till now there in three different cd cases but i'm thinking about puting them on cd spindles or maybe just individual cases or something. How do ya'll hold/keep your dmb shows?

"all on my computer" woudn't work for me. too much space(between) my wife's and i's crap. I was really just going to put them on a cd spindle but i still think that would make it hard to find a certain show, unless i put them on different spindles by year. i don't know yet.

I use spindles on all my cds now....they are great. You are right, its hard to find a certain cd but it saves so much space. My friend works at CVS in the photo department so I get a crap load of them....the ones that hold 200 or 300. I wonder if you can buy those spindles without the blank cd's?

i buy slim jewel cases and label the case with the date, type of show (Dmb , dm solo, d&t, D&F...) and how many discs the show is, and i store them in chronological order in a plastic bin, and i keep all my shows on record via microsoft excel, so it counts how many discs i have, how many shows of each catagory i have etc...works well.

i have about 140 discs worth of shows so i just keep them all in one book, and then i probably have about 20 more shows on my computer. I havent been collecting dave shows for a while, I get shn shows from lots of other bands though.

I was thinking of doing something like that, jewel cases that is. I too have a chronological list of my shows. I wish i could find a cd book that holds like 500 cds and than i could just have like two them.
But i think i'm gonna put them all on spindles today and possibly in jewel cases later. I just want them to be easily accessable and in a safe place.
I've just had three friends in the last month lose all their cds and so i'm thinkin' i want them to stay at home.

i have a leather case i got a staples for like$30 comes with sheets for 208 CD's but you can add them to it aswell, and theres tones of free space in it, and it have about 150 disks in it, so you could prolly get 500, if you got some extra sheets.
