mediums yall

Unread post by mangold » Sun Jan 16, 2005 10:06 pm

just switched my acoustic over to mediums and i could not be happier. i love the tone, the increased tension, and the slightly upped action. they're louder too. it was scary as hell stringin em up tho, me bein a strictly ex-light guy before these. just thought id post it for some of you guys lookin to change your sound, i think they're a nice change.

you switched from extra lights to mediums? get your truss rod checked out and if needed (probably will) adjusted

I tend to bend lights when normally fretting chords. Mediums are what I play. I wish I could play heavies though

Michael Hedges played the heaviest strings of any artist I know of. I think it was like .20+. crazy.

I use mediums on my beater for alternate tunings. They're nice.
