Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

Country Roads

Hotel California

Alice, Who the Fuck is Alice?

That is a good one if it is an Irish Bar! By the way has anyone ever seen a tab for that song?

Anything by CCR, i dont know why but everyone loves those songs when you play them at a bar

"Brown eyed girl" van morrison, always gets the crowd going

Hey,hey, my,my(rock&roll is here to stay)" or "rocking in the free world" both by neil young are good, and not too played out.

"stuck in the middle with you" by steelers wheel

home for a rest

brian wilson

tragically hip's usually a crowd pleaser too

i always enjoy when a song is thrown into a set that is kinda unexpected but still one i know and liked at one point in my life...a good example is a set with songs like dave and the stuff mentioned above and then you throw in a version of a nirvana tune or something...crowds usually like that!

Redneck Mother - Jerry Jeff Walker
Come Monday - Jimmy Buffett
Why Don't we Get Drunk - Jimmy Buffett
City of New Orleans - Willie Nelson
You May Be Right - Billy Joel

PS - I can't play any of these but they may be good bar tunes

I'm not a bar player (yet) but if you're playing accoustic I suggest some Willie Nelson stuff.
