GGP Jimi Thing Solo
GGP Jimi Thing Solo
Can anyone tab out Dave's solo to Jimi on the Golden Gate Park album.
It sounds like a lot of notes played at 2 octaves near the end, but I still think it would be great if someone tabbed it.
Thanks.

Hey all, first time posting, though I've used the site for a loooong time. Anyway, the solo in GGP is way different than the one floating around. There's a some really fast strumming after the fingerpicking, and then a sick run of bar chords. I would tab it out myself but I'm really crappy at tabbing by ear. It's such a funky jam though...my favorite of his from all the Jimi's I've heard from the summer...I have the Mp3 on my computer...I can post a yousendit link if anybody wants to give it a try. I would love to know how to play it myself.

Indeed I do! Here's a yousendit link:
http://s8.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3CALJ ... 991DKJF7W7
don't right click, just take the link and it will bring you to a screen where you can download it. it's 30 megs, but worth it. I really think a tab of this would be great to have out there since it's a really good demonstration of Dave's non traditional improv abilities. It seems like it might be a b!tch to tab, but man if you get a chance that would be AWESOME. If not, enjoy anyway.
P.S. let me know if the link doesn't work
