well, it depends on the show..he mixes it up a lot...the tab on hdaee is the general tab...but if you have been to shows, or just listen to his live shows..he changes it here and there...on my cover, i arpeggio'd an a major chord up by the 12 fret, and the c# minor chord he ususally plays..and i worked with the existing hdaee tab on top of that..im at work so i really cant get into detail as of the moment, but ill get back to ya with a more detailed tab later tonight when i get home hopefully...

I see,

Jack--

About 40 seconds into your cover, you have the

high e ------9--11----9/7

and then at 40 seconds in you put that second layer over it, is that the arrpeggios you were talking about? That's the part I'm having trouble getting down, could you just really quickly tab that part out?

BTW, when you recorded it did you do it all in one try, all the parts together? or is it recorded in seperate parts and then combined together in the end?

sorry for all the questions, but I want to get my own recording of this out, and I want to get the parts down just right, and you did a great job!

E----------------------------------
B-------14---------14------------------
G-----------14---------14--------------Amajor
D---------------14---------14--------
A--12-----------------------------
E-----------------------------------------

E----------------------------------
B-------5---------5------------------ C#m
G-----------6--------6--------------
D--------------6--------6--------
A--4-----------------------------
E-----------------------------------------

thats basically how i do it..you can make it run a little bit longer on both chords.
as for how i recorded, im a lil confused...do you mean did i edit with cool edit? if thats what you mean, then no..i did it all on one shot with the dl4, the same way howie does it...laid down the percusion first, then the muted strings, high e string fills, etc etc..if this doesnt make sense or you need any more help, just let me know...

OOOhh, thanks so much for that. No I understand what you mean. So you did it all in one play, looping all the parts and playing over them. thanks so much for all your help, really appreciate it.
