problem with avatars
I found a really kickass picture of dave laying a 12-string at one of his recent verizon wireless ampitheater concerts (6-29-03 I think). I wanna make it my board picture, and I made it a jpeg and cropped it down to 7.86 KB, so It should be small enough, but the damn site keeps telling me it is over 8 KB. An tips for making a jpeg take up less space without cropping the edges anymore?
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Pixels are simply a unit of measurement, reducing the pixels would reduce the size, and he said he wanted to keep it the same size. Perhaps you meant ppi/dpi (pixels per inch/dots per inch). Like I said before, if you have a fairly decent photo program you should be able to reduce the JPEG quality which will decrease the size substantially (and with an image the size of an avatar, you can't tell much of a difference).fatjack wrote:if you have microsoft picture editor, you can adjust the amount of pixels, thats probably why its not working...
