Recording Setup (Help)

Unread post by eliot1171 » Sun Jan 09, 2005 2:29 pm

I’m a poor college student; I have the most basic recording setup available. (Computer mic and Cakewalk Music Creator software) I had to sell my guitar to pay rent about a couple weeks ago, and now I’m playing my mothers acoustic that’s over 20 years old.
I want to record decent quality acoustic and vocal tracks. (Perhaps bongos) Please give me some ideas for home recording equipment and setup. If you have examples of tracks you’ve done with your setup, I would like to hear them.

Thanks
~E

sorry to hear about your situation man. Shouldnt you just use the money to get a new guitar or get back your old one, instead of recording equipment?

then just get a converter at radioshcak for the guitar and then the nicest mic you can afford and you'll be set. all of my stuff is recorded through a converter. goto http://www.angelfire.com/music6/andymangold and listen to colabo, thats recorded with a converter and nothing else
