Yeah Jersey! Im in Ewing. Also if trem picking is giving you trouble try to use a lighter gauge pick, this will create less resistance on the strings and whatnot, I know when I switched from playing mostly progressive rock (John Petrucci rocks) to playing acoustic music I had to switch picks because I couldnt strum those heavy strings with my light pick. What are you trem picking on? An acoustic a la Tim or are you working on electric playing? If you are working on electric I could give you a lot more tips!

Granny - Wrong Bellmawr dude :) its something like an hour trip from where you live. You could still always come up if you wanted :-p (15 btw)

I dont know how many collective soul fans we have out here but im trying to learn some of their songs and solos...in most of the solos they have tremolo going on. And of course I play some of the tim reynolds stuff. So really I play electric more now. Keep the tips coming Osty :-p

never rest your hand on the bridge, horrible technique, plant pinky in middle of pickguard if you have to but don't touch the bridge, it kills the sound

NO! NO! NO! DO NOT TRY THIS! this is a terrible habit to get yourself into! i've struggled with this for a long time, when you rest your pinky on the pickguard, your entire wrists stiffens up and become tired quite quickly... ask any professional guitar teacher, they will tell you the same...

You can just avoid being confused by keeping your hand off the guitar :-p

that'll make your wrist tired real quick... unless of course you play in the classical position...
