what about warehouse? tim's fills during the verses are almost impossible to tab by ear because they are almost 100 percent dissonant improv. It is also in drop B.

Explain this "drop B" you speak of...

just like drop D...but you drop the low E string to a B. so you can drone it basically the whole song. especially duriing the main verse riff and intro.

you probably get a little buzz, but it sounds really cool.
you play the main riff starting on the A string instead of the low E, and just keep that low E ringing, very deep sound. that's what timmy does.

i thought some of the songs in volume two were off alittle bit from what dave plays. the one song that stuck out was typical situation. or maybe that part is played by tim but i didnt say daves pat a 0 10 9 or whatever it is. maybe im wrong though...

I think the books are very good. I have had them for quite a while now. A lot of you are saying you can see some differences, but this isn't so bad. For example, on typical situation, its on up on fret ten, but rather relocated to fret 4 and 5 I think moved up a sring. So it is the same notes, just a different location on the neck. This is not always so bad, they did this with #41 so it is played up on the first few frets. By doing this, you can strum through the whole chord rather than picking a sring and then skipping a string to strum the rest. Believe it or not, some guitarists play just by reading notes on sheet music, so which location is left for personal interpretation. The best way to know where dave plays it is to come to this site.
