Recording audio from a video camera

Does anybody know how I can record the audio from a videocamera onto my computer. I'm looking to share the audio through an e-mail. My camera is a simple one. A Sony Handycam. Any help is good. Thanks

errr, it depends on what kind of camera, i think itd be easier to record it again or record the camera playing on a tv with a mic.

im assuming its analog... just plug the audio out into the audio input jack onyour computer, then record audio tracks using a program suck as cool edit

id tell ya, but you need allot of expensive software to do it the way id say.
