so my band got a pa, and im wondering what exactly we need
we have a couple power amps, speakers, and a power conditioner and all that, but do you need an eq, compresser, sonic maximizer and all those odds and ends?

please suggest some things

or give examples

just dont get an alesis

the sonic maximizer changes the way the sound is reproduced, and makes certain instruments cut through the mix better without them being overpowering. amazing tool. you can't see its effects sitting in your bedroom, but plug that in with a band in a live setting and WOAH. or go to a GC and play with one, they always have them hooked up.

public address..

yeah, ive looked into those sonic maximizers
im trying to spend as little as possible right now, so i will probably just pick up an analog eq and perhaps a sonic maximizer off ebay

some questions on eqs...
some are dual channel, but is this stero?
can the ones with only one channel be used in stereo also?
