It looks pretty nice. How much do they usually go for?

Word. Much better guitars out there for the same price or less. It won't sound like Dave's anyway.

agreed. boo chets.

if you want just a plain stage guitar, check out renaissance (not too cool looking, but supposedly great sounding) and the Anderson Crowdster (AMAZING sounding and BEAUTIFUL but quite expensive. about 2x as much as a new chet)

why would you get it? do you play live often? it's a stage guitar. not one to buy for looks and to play around the house.

i was in the same situation and bid anyways, i ended up getting my chet for under $800. a good amount of money but still a couple hundred cheaper than any i had seen before, in the end i couldnt resist the deal and im glad i didnt. id say bid and see where it goes, if the price gets too high say fuck it n let someone else grab it, no harm done... hope it works out

the reason i want a chet is
1. i like how they look
2. i like how they sound, i dont want it to sound like daves
3.right now i play on stage from time to time, but im getting more offers, and more situations where i need a good stage guitar.
4.i have an acoustic electric, and i plug it up most of the time anyway even though i dont have to.
5. they make enough sound unplugged for me to write, or mess around on.
6.i dont have allot of cash and i want a chet so this seems like the route.
