Some good advice right there. As someone who is involved in the electrical trade, I know the importance of a solid ground, but I didn't know that it could affect your sound that much. The GFCI tester that he showed is a nice cheap, quick fix.

Somewhat related, I remember a few years ago I was jamming with a buddy in his garage, and I didn't really notice that I was standing in a little puddle, and everytime I pushed a string down on a fret, I got a nice little shock. It hurt.

If you get off on 120V, then go for it.

ouch
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

You: "Hey. Go step in that puddle."
Them: "Ok..."
You: "Is everything plugged in?"
Them: "Umm, I think..."
You: "Ok. Great. Now... Just play! Stay in the puddle though!"
Them: "What the hell?"

well im thinkin it has to be one of those hick-esque travel showers that people got in the back of their rv's. so its just like a circular curtain and you run a garden hose to it. well anyways, we get my buddies playin then he drop it from the ceiling on him and turn on the shower. FRRRRIIIEEEDD!
