I think singing wise you should maybe sing along a few times with Dave playing in your headphones record it and maybe you'll hear the difference, and don't be afiraid to hit wrong notes just let them rip. As for the guitar it's good but to me that song needs those mutes in between the chords and a) they weren't there b) I couldn't hear them. I do think though it's good to get on here the way you do.

the guitar playing is getting better but man i can't listen to the whole song without cringing to the voice. I would take some vocal lessons or something

thanks for the comments guys!

i agree the song is too rigid, when i recorded it i was thinking that because there was gonna be a bass i should keep it as simple as possible. but now i think i shoulda played the mutes and taken the riff a bit farther.

i know i cant sing and i should probably not do it. but im going to.

thanks for all the comments!

First of all, the singing is uh, well maybe it's not for you, but if you keep practicing and force that higher octive out then it will become easier. Come see, I swear it will get better if you just try to force it out and sing louder. Also, the guitar and bass were right on the notes, but that choping is missing and i believe the tempo was just a bit too fast. (faster than dave's anyway, but if you like playing it that quick then go ahead, its your song) Overall, good effort, but just keep trying to sing an octive higher and louder. :D

Blah, if I could find the time I would love to record some songs..... but just soo busy. I might have to wait untill summer or something

I dont know if this is a crazy suggestion, but I think a good way to get better at singing dave songs is making fun of dave. Hit ridiculous highs and lows and just have fun with it. I used to do it because that was my one roommates only knock on Dave, so I'd play it up. Now i feel l can sing it better because of that

the "quiet at times, lights down you up and die" guitar part sounds a LITTLE rushed to me. other than that, instrumental is nice, other than that I have nothing else to say that hasn't been said already. Keep it up!

if youre not very good at singing, ants marching is not a good place to start... it has a large range, and i struggle with it and i consider myself a halfway decent singer

try some easier songs

and i didnt listen to the song, by the way
