Re: Taylor
the features on 914 that dave uses was discontinued in 2000, which came with a the "cindy" inlay both before and after the NT neck was introduced. there have been some other changes regarding some other specs on the guitar, but look for a used 914 before 2000 and you'll be all set.Senior Gomez wrote:I want daves Taylor 914 ce but i cant get the inlays or the color anymore. also, if you want a new guitar, Taylor has been reintroducing the cindy-inlayed 914 with limited edition runs, which have occurred this past Fall especially. look for those guitars, since they will save you at least $2000 in ornamental/aesthetic upgrades.

Re: Taylor
Too "flashy" for me. Yes my Michael Kelly has a lot of inlays in it, but more mellow and blends into the guitar more. I don't like how they stand out and how they are so "flashy" on the 914Senior Gomez wrote:I want daves Taylor 914 ce but i cant get the inlays or the color anymore. Like I always say, get a 714. (nudges Heathcliff

And if you are getting a martin, get the D-28, the best sounding martin to me.
Yes, I am in a box
