my most disgusting/amazing gig

Unread post by juineaux » Sun Jul 06, 2003 11:28 am

Has anyone ever got way too lost into the music while they are playing a gig? i did that last night at a gig-

I was playing a concert with 5 Punk bands(not my typical gig), and i was playing pretty good and during HEY JOE i threw my acoustic guitar on my lap and turned the distortion way up and played some slide(ben harper style). well after about a minute into this i dropped my pick, but i decided to keep on playing and struming wildly(the song has 5 minutes left). Well i look down at my guitar after the second verse and it is covered in blood, i guess i cut my fingers on the strings and didnt mind it? Well i played the solo and the last verse and everyone went crazy. It wasnt anything like i thought the gig was going to go, but I probably played my personal best. I thought i would share this weird gig story-
:D  :D :?

yeah, that must have been pretty intense. you didnt drop your pick into your guitar did you? cuz that would really suck to have to get it out with your fingers all bloody.

That's a good one. My first gig, last year's talent show, I was playing the guitar along with some of my other friends..and right before we went out, I stumbled upon this huge wooden block. It was pitch black out there and there was a school play 2 weeks from that night, but because there was so much adrenaline...I hardly noticed it. Halfway through the song, where we all just jammed for a little while, I started to notice it..and before I knew it i was bleeding all over the stage...ever jam your toe into a door? and see that the actual nail has a white seam across it? yeah that happened about halfway down my nail followed by a steady stream of blood. I played well that night.

EDIT: yeah I was wearing sandals by the way
