Jack Johnson has......

Unread post by kcw » Thu Dec 23, 2004 6:37 pm

Jack Johnson has the easiest songs to play ever. I sat down with On and On today because i thought id learn a new song. And by ear mind you within a half an hour i had three new ones learned. The hardest song on that cd is Taylor and once you get past the intro its easy.

Dont get me wrong i love Jack Johnson. Its amazing when you make something so simple sound so good. He is an awesome songwriter.

The Jack Johnson songs i know now are:

Taylor
Gone
Cupid
Times Like These
Cookie Jar
Traffic In The Sky

Traffic In The Sky kills the hand though. The rest are really easy except the intro to Taylor is a bit difficult but not so much after you get it. I was surprised at how simple his songs were.

on and on is an okay album, but I prefer brushfire fairytales
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I think the most amazing part of Jack Johnson' music is how much he makes from so little. He's awesome.

Yeah, its crazy, he uses the same strumming pattern for almost all of his songs, and only two or three types of chords.
