Keep your eyes peeled for the notorious thief named QuattroDore.

I haven't been to the Kingdom yet anyway. Lock your doors. Board up the windows. Run for the hills, for QuattroDore is officially jealous as hell. :o

This is most likely going to be my "BIG" Guitar that I buy in the next year or so...it's so fuckin' sweet... (yes, I can curse because it is that fuckin' sweet)

i know nothing about pickups. might as well go expensive....im guessing you paid about $1900, so a good pickup shouldnt break you too much more...

Fishman Matrix II.....Not sure about Wide or Narrow...I would think Wide because of the kind of Dreadnaught it is...congrats on the amazing guitar...peace

Welcome to the Martin family my brother. I advise you to join http://pub125.ezboard.com/btheunofficia ... uitarforum for which will tell you everything you EVER EVER wanted to know about setups and Martin's. Congrats! Just wait about 6 months if it is BRAND NEW and it will open up here and there and sound even better. Then wait about 30 years and it will be a gem.

What a well timed post - I was just cruising the boards looking to post on this topic. I'm getting ready to stick a Fishman pre-amp in my HD-35 and was going to get recommendations as well. I've pretty much decided on the Matrix II but is there any difference between the wide and narrow? I can't find anything mentioned in the specs aside from the actual width dimensions.

Also, this is the first summer this guitar has been exposed to in my care. I live in really hot, humid Atlanta and while summer has yet to reareit's full strength, I know it's only a matter of time. The guitar typically stays in its case and I keep the thermostat around 72-75F per care instructions and general comfort level of the apartment. My biggest concern is the extreme humidty which hounds Atlanta - dry winters and moist summers. I'm looking at purchasing the combination hydrometer/humidifier package from planet waves for about $40.00. Has anyone tried this out or have other equipment they recommend? Any advice would be appreciated!

I live in Cincinnati and have similar weather. It is 93 out right now and humid and during winter dry and 20 degrees. I keep my Martin in its case when I am not playing it. I use a Planet Waves sound hole humidifier while its in its case. Seems to do the job for 10 bucks. I know a lot of hard core Martin lovers on another board that do the same.
