So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Does anyone else think that the L@LC version of Minarets is played differently...
Code: Select all
E:---------------------
B:---------------------
G:---------------------
D:-7--9--7--6/---7--6--
A:-7--7--7--7/---x--x--
E:-0--0--0-------x--x--
More like
Code: Select all
E:------------------------
B:------------------------
G:------------------------
D:-9--7--6----------------
A:-7--7--7-------7--8--7--
E:-0--0--0-------x--x--x--
I thought so, but I'm probably mixing in Tim's part...

I always have played this...
e-------------------------------
B-------------------------------
G-----9-----7------------------
D-----9-----7-----6>7<(6)---
A-----7-----7-----7>8<(7)---
E-----0-------------------------
slide back to the 8-7 to the 6-7 every other time...in other words, let the 8-7 linger to add "stress" on ever other measure...hope it helps some

honestly, this is the correct way to play the song, and is how "dave" plays it:
E:-----------------------------
B:-----------------------------
G:----------------------------
A:-9--7--6--------------------
D:-7--7--7--7/11--8--x--7--
E:-0--0--0--0------0-----0---
this is the only way I have ever heard him play the verse...and use the same theory for the chorus...
no offense to jared, but the way its on the site kinda sounds like garbage...

IF YOU ALL HAVE BEEN PLAYING IT LIKE THAT....WHY HAVEN'T YOU SAID ANYTHING TO ME?!?!?!? I would think that you all would know I want accurate tabs on my site and that I don't care about being wrong as long as the tabs end up correct. I'll look at a video or two, JUST TO MAKE SURE, even though I'm sure you guys are right. Thanks for the suggestions.....SAY SOMETHING NEXT TIME!!!!! Peace all
