hey jwool,
I really like the song.. I honestly can't tell that there's a lot of reverb at all. I think it sounds great.

I don't mind the reverb really.. but I do have to wonder what you used to produce the reverb? it has a lot of artifacts, and I think this what stands out more than the signal in the bounce. Usually there is some kind of "Smoothness" control on reverb.. I think nudging that slider or value over some will make it sound better. And I think the artifacts are just the high freqs. sticking around a little too long.. While, I am making comments on the sound engineering.. I think the high-end could be rolled-off like 4db around the 14k> area and make it sound better too (entirely subjective). Sorry, these probably aren't the comments you are looking for..
The song itself.. beautiful.. but you probably already knew that being as you seemed to be a seasoned veteran.. I listened to the other songs on your website. Since you are looking for feedback, I figured I'd speak my opinion that your acoustic+electric songs sound like the band is missing.. they all scream "I need bass and drums" .. but they are all wonderful songs, don't get me wrong. good stuff.

I liked it a lot. Great Song. Very different than the norm, but I felt it ended abruptly......and it is a very short song, there could be a small instrumental break in it and let us down in the end a little easier. Again, I really enjoyed it.

Congrats...you seem to have the great ability to compose music...you voice sounds perfect for the song, and I would love for you to post more
and YES, it would be better longer and if you added anther track to it...I would love to work on a solo track to that!
Great stuff...what are you using for equipment (guitars, mic, recording system etc.)?
Kudos

Hey guys,
Thanks to all that responded and to all that listened. I really appreciate youre comments and suggestions and I look forward to hearing some of your originals.
Firedancer, if you would like to work on a solo track, I would definately love to hear it.
Equipment used for this song:
AT4033 (vocal) > dbx386 > Allen & Heath 16:2 mixer
Taylor314K (direct--Prefix) > mixer
For reverb I used a Lexicon MPX-1
For echo I used the A&H onboard effects
*These 2 channels were recorded live to an Alesis Masterlink ML-9000 with onboard compression.
If anyone is in the Washington, DC area and would like to have their stuff recorded, send me an email and we can work something out. Thanks again for listening. I'll try and post some new ones soon.
