Here is a cover by the Grateful Dead. It turned out pretty nice. My voice is improving, but still not near where I want it to be. Feel free to throw a solo in at the bridge if you want. It really needs one.

Overall pretty good. The guitar was very good, but something seemed a bit off on the singing to me. I'm sure with just a bit more practice you'll be nailin it though, Keep it up!

(and you get bonus points for covering my favorite Dead tune)

only the grateful dead could make such an amazing song out the C major scale backwards. haha.

nicely done, the vocals seemed a little stressed, sometimes you rushed to keep up with the guitar, just practice. over all, sounded good.

Thanks for the comments. I did guitar and vocals at the same time directly into a Maya MKII pci card. There could be some latency with the vocals, maybe a milisecond or so. (comp craps out a little with 2 inputs) This problem will be resolved after x-mas when my mixer and condensor get here. I really wish someone would add a solo to it though.

i think it sounds really good, especially your guitar work, it sounds really full. what tab are you using to play that?

My set-up is a Maya MKII pci card, shure SM57 and cubase SX2. I plug guitar and mic directly into card and record 2 stereo tracks at the same time. There is no such thing as an external pci card. You are thinking usb or firewire.

As for the tab I got a little from rukind.com and a little of my own. Good GD tabs are few and far between.

yea i used that one as well. it sounds like your just taking the bass line and playing it along with the chords which is what i do but you sound a little more full than i do.

The more I think about it, I guess I play a G (3rd fret of b and high e strings) in between the bass notes. Sometimes I'll play both other times just the b 3rd fret and open high e. Hope that helps.
