I've said it before, but I'll say it again, tabs aren't cheating. Why is it cheating? You wanna learn about math, you read a math book. You wanna learn Dave you read tabs. Is it cheating if you just don't know how to tab by ear or just don't automatically know how to do algebra?

It's better to try and figure it out first, just like math. You'll learn more from it in the long run. You won't always have that math book for tests on problems you don't know

Its not cheating if you dont know how. Its cheating if you know how and you still read the tabs.

I can't drop to D without my tuner because I'm that tone deaf, let alone tab out a song...

Tell me about it... "Cept that I'm getting better all the time, taking slow, been doin' my stretches..." - 5-5-03. Great show....
Seriously though, I have been getting better. I practice a lot so it should be getting better, but who knows?
