Stay Or Leave cover

Unread post by AdamCU81 » Thu Dec 09, 2004 10:12 pm

I 've wanted record a cover of this song for a while now, and I finally did today. There's one main track with guitar and vocals into the same mic, and then some harmony tracks. There's some little lyrical mess-ups, but I think it's ok anyways. Let me know what you think.

nicely done. i liked it a lot.

at first, the vocals sounded a little forced or something, but they eased up later, and you hit those higher notes pretty well. i think you just need to get a little bit more comfortable singing that song and it will sound great.

the guitar was pretty good, but during the "remember we used to dance" you wanna accent some strums over other. like that D chord, hit that shit hard. just feel it more, seemed like you were just playing, and not feeling it.

other than that, great. i liked it a lot. nice work.

yes i love the harmony vocal. Very nice recording. sound like you actually tune your guitar to raised B. love it. 9.5/10, it seems your vocal gets better as it goes.

Thanks guys. It's true that my singing gets more comfortable as a song progresses, which is a problem. I guess I need to work on being totally prepared before I take that first breath. I played it with a capo, and I really wish I had a baritone (not $1000 wish) because the deep guitar tone would make the song more dramatic. Thanks for the kind words.

I like the harmony vocals, did you use a mixer to do that or straight to the comp?
