Leroi Moore

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

DEFINITELY the least played out of his saxes...Sorry man, but here are a two...

What Would You Say
The Space Between

That's all I can think of where he has noticeable riffs on it...You can always play baritone parts, it'll just sound a little off cause it's higher. Same key though.

Thanks man. He mostly playes the Tenor sax on most songs but sometimes you run into the alto lol. Tenor saxophones are a tad big for starting out and more expensive. Thanks anyway though man.

Can you boys give me a run through the saxes...

Low End- Baritone, Tenor, Alto, Saprano -High End

That correct?

You got it champ. Baritone is what he plays for things like SMTS -> Too Much. Tenor is most noticeable in the intro for Crush. Alto for the WWYS solo and Soproano for Grey Street and Ants.

ya..the bari is for the kinda funky stuff and alto/soprano are kinda kenny G sounding.... soprano players seem to emphasize quicker riffs more than alto players

Saxophone

Unread post by Vincent12 » Sat Mar 12, 2005 10:50 pm

Last year I found this pretty kick-ass book for saxophone. It tells what sax he plays for each song and the music is mostly right. Although its missing some classic songs like Song That Jane Likes, its good. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books 8)
