So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Whatever works for you is what you should play. What is on the site is what Dave actually plays....but I'm sure that sounds perfectly fine also(I'm at work so can't play it)....as is said above...to each his own

Sometimes it is pretty cool to play it a little different than the artist plays it. A good example would be Howie Day's #41. It is played differently than Dave plays it. I will try this when I get home tonight.

It's not a huge change, but I think it has a fuller sound. I was also not trying to imply that the one on the site is wrong, it's just something different.

I played it. Its a lot flatter than the original and definatly different. Though it sounds fine. I think it sounds alright. Not what Dave plays but thats not an issue. I dont play half his songs the way he plays them.

And my friend and I were talking about how much I mimic Dave when playing his stuff. If you're going to play his stuff, why not play it how he does? People might be like "you try and copy him too much". Well, I am playing his shit, so why not play it like him?
