Philip Lucas (firedancer86) Update 12/07/04

Unread post by firedancer86 » Tue Dec 07, 2004 9:06 pm

 To all of those friends and critics who have supported me and my music up to this point, I thought I would bring you all up to date...

 I have always strived to write/compose/arrange/perform music that was different than my musical peers of this generation, so through the past 3 years, I have stock-piled a lsit of some 30 or more songs.

 While the old website is down (permenantly), I am soon to get some new equipment that will allow me to re-launch my site with all the bells and whistles of a pure and legit site.

 Since I was around last, I have revamped all of my music; if you remember my old site, I had many songs posted that were more or less rough drafts or ideas that I "scribbled" down on audio. Now my songs have be re-recorded with better equipment, and fully complete (many with lyrics, etc.).

:!: Keeping all of the above in mind, I am proud to start talking about my first CD that will be independently pressed, copywritten, with serial numbers for legit sale - on a local level as well as over the net. This CD will be comprised of a dozen songs that are mostly accesible to the average listener (no long drawn out instrumentals on this one). I also have in the works both a CD of Jazz/Prog songs that I have written and an acoustic instrumental CD.

* This will be in the future (no dates yet), but the resources are become usable now - whereas they weren't before. This means that this is the very near furure.

 Before this gets to sound any more like a press release, I just want to say thanks for all the support you all have shown and I hope you are all game for my CD.

I selected yes, even though I wouldn't be able to buy it until after X-mas.

He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

Can I suggest a free torrent of the CD? It would really help get your stuff out there to people who otherwise would DEFINATELY not hear it otherwise.

Also, I am really interested in an accoustic prog album. I have always wanted to do that kind of a project.

At 16, Philip was better than most guitarists I've heard 30+. I don't think he's going to have a problem getting out there

Yes, I think he is by far the most talented on these boards. Just my opinion, no offense to others out there like Miguel, Tico, etc.

IMO talent has nothing to do with noteriety.

The more people that hear the music, the more people will buy it. Thats logical if you assume that 35% (maybe a high number) of people that hear it buy it. The more people hear it, .... profit.
