dave used a golden colored les paul at my show... 8-01-04.. he used it to play the maker with daniel lanois. Lanois's band buzzed alot... during a solo the guitar guy screwed up bad.. but the song was awesome aside from that.

I think everyone is a lil confused. Dave goes direct for all of his acoustics (6 string, 12 string, raised b, etc.). They do some rack-based effects sometimes (heard on Last Stop and others) but the guitar is heard directly through the PA. The matchless is only for his electrics (regular tuning and Baritone as well), at least according to dmband.com/road - the equipment/Audio Input list. Correct me if I'm wrong...

In addition, I own a Fender Acoustisonic 30W acoustic amp and have played an acoustic and an electric through it and both sound very nice. I actually like the electric through it because it is nice and clean, just as previously written, dont expect crazy distortion tones. I am planning to compensate for this with a Line6 Pod but again, nothing too crazy w/distortion, just some light creamy goodness....hopefully

can running distortion through an acoustic amp mess it up? like with a distortion pedal or soemthing, would that mess stuff up because the amp isnt supposed to have distortion?
