new song from my band

Unread post by seanbryantkbq » Mon Dec 06, 2004 4:58 pm

tell me waht u think

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/5/profe ... kmusic.htm

its called today and heres the lyrics

Woke up today
My heart may be broken in a thousand ways
But today
My hands play cards different ways
Like some little lovely girl
Take your breath away, all away

Today, mmm day
Pink hats under cloudless skies
Today, mmm day
Wake up a beautiful way
Today, mmm day
Lovely up a different girl
Today… it’s a new day

All the things
Next to you I think were playing
Different games
Walk off now all by ourselves
To desecrate
All the life that’s before this day
I say, intimate you and I today

Today, mmm day
Pink hats under cloudless skies
Today, mmm day
Wake up a beautiful way
Today, mmm day
Lovely up a different girl
Today… it’s a new day

Today I found a lovely girl
Today I found the time
Who’s the one I got so high?
And stop me on a dime

She got me
Oh so gone off all the feelings
Kissing
On the lips and then all over
Reeling
From the time oh that we share
Today, I am so gone with my baby

Today, mmm day
Pink hats under cloudless skies
Today, mmm day
Wake up a beautiful way
Today, mmm day
Lovely up a different girl
Today… it’s a new day
don't kid yourself and don't fool yourself
this love's too good to last and i'm too old to dream

don't grow up too fast don't embrace the past
this life's too good to last and i'm too young to care

don't kid yourself and don't fool yourself
this life could be the last and we're too young to see

singing has a punk feel and still need a little practice. the bass seems really messed up and out of time. Guitar is good, drums seem to be out of rhythm at times. everything doesnt blend at parts, but overall, keep posting!

kind of reminds me of an oar type song only without the strong vocals/ lead guitar/ saxaphone but you know what i mean. work on the vocals a bit and i think youve got somethin pretty good

Sounds good, needs to be a bit tighter, and the vocals should be sung more, and yelled less. Also look at getting a popper stopper for your mic.

Pretty cool.. The chorus is pretty catchy. I agree that you need a pop filter and maybe work on hitting some of the notes but it has lots of potential. The vocal melody is cool.

The guitar kinda reminds me of joy ride at times though.
