help with a dave song ive never heard before

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

help with a dave song ive never heard before

Unread post by trippin6strings » Mon Nov 29, 2004 7:28 pm

I saw my brother the other day, someone i dont see often, and he played me a live dave cd he had recorded a long time ago. One of the songs on it blew me away and i had never heard it before, but then it cut out after about 30 sec. the song repeated at the end of the cd but i had to get goin n i missed it. Now ive never heard certain old songs (haiku warriors, toy soldiers, mothers night, spotlight, blue water, and probably a couple other rare oldies) and i was wondering if anyone could figure out what im talking about. The song started with dave yelling at the top of his lungs (not scary screaming or moaning or anything holloweenish but just hitting a single note) and then about 5-10 seconds of holding his voice the band all kicks in at once and dave starts singing but his lyrics are all mumbled n dave-like. It sounds like he starts playing something thats like stacked fifths or something (like satellite) but i only heard it that one time very briefly. if anyone has any idea what im talking about id love a tab and/or source for the song, its a badass song that id love to hear again. Thanks in advance, i really appreciate it, peace...
