new song "out of the blue"
My rhythm is horrible in this recording, so I'll redo it eventually, but for now, it will have to do. I'm still working on section placement in this one. I don't know if I like how it ends either.

really great feel to this one. i like how the smooth the breakdown around 1:30-1:55 goes right into the main part again. the timing flubs didn't bug me at all since i could hear how it was meant to sound. i like the percussive style you have on this one. that's one thing i love about Don Ross' stuff. i look forward to hearing the finished product.
what is your recording setup pat? i saw the pics from that thread showing your mic setup. what mics/software/ usb device are you using? the quality is excellent.

me like, although in the beginning the guitar riff sounds off a tad.
btw how many people have asked you 4 your recording setup? it seems like an awful lot.
edit: is that just 2 layers?

yep, i'm not a fan of overdubbing on acoustic guitar pieces. (although i've done it in the past)praisedave wrote:thats just you once? thats uber impressivedmbguitar718 wrote:This is my setup:praisedave wrote:me like, although in the beginning the guitar riff sounds off a tad.

That's funny, because my dad noticed the same thing. Total coincidence though. Usually that kind of stuff bothers me because I'd be like "Well I guess I was thinking about it", but for this one, I was going for an entirely different feel, and I wasn't even thinking about Ohio.HCHaikuWarrior wrote:i hear a lot of ohio inspiration in this. good job.
