Amazing discovery (machead)
k, so me and rant were talking, and we were talking about LWS and got to disk 2, and i was like, "man, i bet machead is on there..." and he mentioned his thought of the song is on some devil, but maybe on LWS disk 2..... anyway, so i was listenin to luther college, and a funny little song comes up... Little Thing, know known as An' Another Thing... think about it, its very Paul Mccartney, but also very very Radiohead... also, its been around for years, played allot in 95, teased on red rocks, played on luther, and lillywhite wouldnt'a heard it most likely to ask him the name... and its a very real mix of the two... and it obviously didnt work with the band, so it was mostly teases, or dave doing a solo song and teasing, or a few d+t... and it just seems like this is it...
sooo long story short.... myself and the ranting thespian have a great feeling of security saying that machead is our very own Little Thing...

I'm about 80% sure about this, it really does fit. It made a comeback in 1999 with d&t, right after BTCS. The chorus has been shuffled around all over the place since it's begining. The name has never been in stone too, since we have it released with 2 different names, so that would be why dave wouldn't have given Steve a definate name. Plus, it was Teased in 2000, 2001, and 2002, during the LWS stuff, so it could be on LWS disc 2, the stuff that wasn't working out. Also, the lyrics are very Paul like, lost love but still trying. The verse is very rugged, but beautiful, like paul's stuff, and the chorus is very smooth and deep like radiohead.
I am very sure me and Film are right about this.

that's the 20% that is doubt in my mind, since we can't be 100% sure. But I am 80% sure it is Little/An Another Thing. It makes sense.HCHaikuWarrior wrote:possibly...or it could be a song which never was recorded...just like many of his unreleased songs such as mothers night..
but we never know.

haha, agreed.TrippnBill686 wrote:How about we change the name of this thread to "Pure speculation"?
It's definitely a good thought rant and film have, but I really don't see why people wanna know what Machead is so badly anyways. If he plays it, he plays it and we find out for sure. If not, it doesn't affect me at all.

well dave didnt name it machead, that was lillywhite, and little thing is just sortof a place holder for a name, names and everything have changed in this song constantly, so it honestly wouldnt suprise me if dave didnt give steve a concrete name, just as they recorded it.jeffro wrote:But why would they call it Machead and not Little Thing? It already had a name, why change it just for BCTS and then change it back for SD?
