ok i use audacity and i want to

........know when im layering, how do i get my first recording to play while im layering over that so i know whats happening?

.........be able to listen to my stuff on like winamp or something so then i might even be able to post some stuff. i know i have to convert it to .mp3 but how?

i just record my first layer and then after im done with the first recording i hit the record button again and it plays while you record again.

I think you might have to go to file > preferences and click play other tracks while recording a new one. I'm pretty sure that is what I had to do. Hope that helps

okay go to the angelfire page in my signature and go down to downloads, click save target as and add the .dll to it for it to work.

didnt work it say's save link it isnt a target.

if you're using audacity, there should be a thing under File that says "Export as .mp3"
