i'm trying to think of a new way to play this song, and i'm trying to tune my D string to match pitch with the A string 11th fret?
is this possible or will break my string?

ok, i'm not sure if this is the same thing...
but what i'm trying to do is, capo on 2...is make the open D tune up too the pitch at 4th fret d string(capo 2)

Perhaps you could think. There's this thing you may have heard of called tension. If there's too much of that, stuff might break. Steel flying at you might hurt. On an aside, what the hell are you doing tuning it like that anyway if you're such a beginner? You ought to learn a touch about standard tuning, not fucking with bullshit tuning because you don't want to put any effort forth and stretch your hand. And realize that if you ask a stupid question. . .

Maybe if beginers didn't act like jackasses when someone made a smart ass comment, they wouldn't treat people like that.
