My question with regards to OSW is when has he ever played the intro tabbed on this site? RTT, L@LC, and two remote live takes I listened to don't have it. I sounds kickass on the video, but when has dave ever played it?

Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead

intro

From my understanding, Tim Reynolds wrote that intro as a finger excersise and the band used to play it as an intro to One Sweet World back in the day. I was at the show at Blossom (near Cleveland) on 6/21. It was awesome to hear it live.

they play it at pretty much every live show. they stopped for a few years but brought it back in '99 or so. any recent show with an OSW will have it.

That three you added there should actually be a 1 on the A string, followed by a 3 on the G string, then the double open D. BTW, I love playing this, just learned it after I heard it live for the first time at Blossom on the 21st.

I'm not sure exactly when he started playing it, but I would say that you are pretty much guranteed to hear it now if you get OSW at a concert with the band. I have a recording of it from the winter tour 2002, at least.. I'm sure it goes back further than that.. kanter's tab is from '99.. there haven't been any official live discs with OSW on it since coming up with that intro..
